Funding/Scholarships
There are numerous sources of funding available for prospective and current LL.B. students at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law. These can be divided into several differnt categories.
Scholarships & Bursaries
The University of Alberta has a wide range of different scholarships and bursaries available for students in the LL.B. program.

The Faculty also has a limited number of scholarships administered and selected by the Faculty itself. Information about these awards can be found here.
Of particular ineterest to students interested in Health Law may be the Lieberman Prize in Law & Medicine, awarded to a student for superior academic achievement in Law 531 (Law & Medicine) and the Stemp & Company Prize in Intellectual Property Law, awarded to the student for the highest academic standing in Law 518 (Intellectual Property).
Finally, the Faculty itself may hold specific essay competitions or administer other specific awards. For information about these awards, click here.
Student Loans

Be aware that students receiving loans to attend post secondary education in Alberta have their loans split between the Federal government and the Alberta government. Practically speaking, this means one may be required to manage two seperate student loans; one from the Government of Canada and the other from the Government of Alberta. Information about government of Alberta loans can be found here.
Students applying for loans may also be considered for Annual Millenium Scholarships, adminstered by the Government of Canada. For information about these awards, see the Canadian Millenium Scholarship Foundation's website, located here.
Emergency Bursaries & Other Funding

You may also qualify for funding through the Student's Union Access Fund, which offers non-repayable financial assistance for undergraduate students.
