Professor Gerald Gall teaches constitutional law and foundations to law. He is the author of The Canadian Legal System, in its fifth edition. He is currently the President and Chair of the Board of Directors of the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association for Canadian Studies and the Canadian Multicultural Education Foundation. He is also an honourary member of the Management Board of the Centre for Constitutional Studies. Professor Gall is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Legal Education Society of Alberta, the International Council for Canadian Studies, the Canadian Human Rights Foundation and is the former Executive Director of the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice.
Professor Gall is the recipient of several awards, including the Alberta Human Rights Award, the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal and the Alberta Centennial Medal and was appointed in 2001 as an Officer of the Order of Canada.
Professor Gall's interests encompass constitutional law, human rights and the administration of justice in Canada.
