Professor Gerald Robertson teaches tort law, medical law, mental health law, and conflict of laws. He is the author of Mental Disability and the Law in Canada, in its second edition, co-author of Elder Abuse and Neglect in Canada, and co-author of the third edition of Legal Liability of Doctors and Hospitals in Canada. Professor Robertson has written several reports published by the Alberta Law Reform Institute, including "Enduring Powers of Attorney" and "Advance Directives and Substitute Decision-Making in Personal Healthcare." Professor Robertson has published extensively in legal and medical journals in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.
