Graduate Programs

Academic Program Information

Our graduate programs are intimate, with up to 20 graduate students in the Faculty at any one time. Students come from across Canada and around the world to join a very friendly community of legal scholars. Graduate students get to know each other very well and receive individual attention from their supervisors/advisors, research librarians, our friendly staff and faculty, and the Associate Dean (Graduate Studies). We are very proud of our graduate students and their contributions to the intellectual and social life of the Faculty as well as to legal scholarship worldwide.

Graduate students are provided with office space in the newly renovated MacInnis Centre in the Faculty of Law. The graduate student office facilities are located close to the computer lab and the law library.

This section contains detailed information on the academic program and FGSR and Faculty of Law regulations for graduate students and faculty supervisors/advisors. Please see further information for Research, Graduate Courses, Professional Development Seminars, Academic Integrity and Graduate Student Responsibilities, Supervisor/Advisor Responsibilities, Procedural Rules for Candidacy Examinations and Thesis Defence, Ethics Training, Teaching Services, Resources and Links, and Orientation for new graduate students.
