Guidelines for Graduate Student Supervisors and Academic Advisors

Faculty supervisors of thesis-based LLM and PhD students must familiarize themselves with the FGSR Program Manual Responsibilities and Guidelines for Supervisors. Note that supervisory committees are established for PhD students only.

For course-based LLM students a faculty member is assigned as an academic advisor.  Faculty academic advisors of course-based LLM students must familiarize themselves with the FGSR Program Manual provisions on the Responsibilities of the Academic Advisor.

Faculty supervisors and academic advisors should also consult the FGSR Program Manual for other rules governing aspects of the supervision/advisory process.
