Student Life
Housing Options
The University of Alberta offers diverse on-campus housing options, which include house, walk-up, and apartment style residences, some directly across the street (East Campus Village, International House, and Newton Place) and even connected to the Law Centre (HUB Residence). Most residences have the option for single or multiple accommodations.

There are also many opportunities to live off-campus in the surrounding community. While there is no single source for such information, the University of Alberta Students’ Union has a great online resource called the Off-Campus Housing Registry.
Law Residences
A Unique Living and Learning Opportunity
Students accepted to the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta will soon have the option of living in unique law-specific on-campus accommodations, in addition to other on-campus housing options. Law House will house four law students in the University's East Campus Village residences, providing them with unique opportunities and benefits.
Students in Law House will have the ability to foster unique collaborative relationships with other law students, have access to a knowledgeable upper-year student resource, interact with faculty members and also live right across from the Law Centre!
Applying to the Law Residences:
Students who are admitted to the Faculty of Law will be sent an application for the Law Residences in the "Offer of Admission" package.
If students want to be considered for one of the Law Residences, they must (a) apply directly with Residence Services AND* (b) send their Law Residence Questionnaire to the Faculty of Law by March 31 (which is also the deadline to accept the offer of admission from the Faculty of Law).
Successful applicants to the Law Residences would be notified in early April.
If you have any questions, please visit our website or contact Kim Wilson, Admissions/Records Coordinator, at 780.492.3067 or email.
*Those ONLY wishing to be considered for the Law Residences (i.e. are not interested in living in any other on-campus residence) can simply apply to the Law Residences by sending ONLY their Law Residence Questionnaire to the Faculty of Law by March 31 (i.e. will not have to apply through Residence Services).
Then, if admitted to a Law Residence, MUST also apply with Residence Services by a specified date in order to be admitted to the Law Residence.
